THANG LONG MERCH
2020
DesignSchool Merch Design
As a leader in the Design and Decoration Department of the Life Skills Club, I took on the task of designing a collection of annual merchandise for the 2020 Spring Fair at Thang Long Gifted High School.
These items became the top-selling combos featured at the fair,
completing the purpose of raising funds for charity, specifically to support children in need.

The dragon logo was meticulously hand-drawn by me, drawing inspiration from the dragons seen during the rule of the Le dynasty - the longest-ruling Vietnamese dynasty. An oriental dragon and the red color theme were specifically chosen to serve as a symbolic representation of my school name 'Thang Long,' which translates to 'soaring dragon,' and also reflects the color of the school uniform.
By incorporating these elements, the logo not only pays homage to Vietnam’s history but also celebrates the spirit and identity of the school, embodying strength, vitality, and tradition.

Not only did we integrate our culture into the merchandise, but David, a member of our Creative team, also suggested incorporating Japanese elements of waves and dragon bodies into the front logo that he designed. The synergy between his design and the dragon logo on the back worked seamlessly.
